The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) agency regulated that Verizon Communication must provide equipment rental floor space within their communication equipment buildings to other local & long distance communications companies in order to protect the industry from being monopolized. The regulation developed into a national "Verizon Collocation Project". This project required Verizon Master Zone general contractors to oversee the turnkey renovation and new construction of the assigned floor space. The scope of work ranged from restroom and egress access to electrical upgrades and implementation of state-of-the-art security systems.

JEEMCO, Inc. (Master Zone Contractor) processed over 3,000 applications and 760 turnkey projects at 62 different locations within Western and Central Pennsylvania over a 4-1/2 year period of time. All projects were successfully completed both within budget and within a 90 day federally mandated construction period. This accomplishment resulted in the only region and contractor in the nation to have completed all projects on time, with zero defects and no legal actions.
